One (1) loose gemstone.  This stone is doubly refractive uniaxial with a refractive index of 1.762 to 1.77, indicating the Sapphire Variety of Corundum.  

This stone is an oval high cabochon cut with a scale weight of 2.31 ct, gauging at 8.00 mm x 6.02 mm x 4.13 mm.  The stone is blue (B) in color with dark tone and displays 3 legged, 6-ray asterism under direct light.  The asterism is moderately distinct and slightly off-center.  Treatment:  Heat, Lattice Diffusion (LT). GIA Type II.
